About Mission City Swing
Mission City Swing is San Francisco’s largest weekly West Coast Swing dance community, offering classes and social dancing in a fun and friendly environment for all. We are a nonprofit organization devoted to bringing the highest quality West Coast Swing instruction, social dancing to San Francisco and helping to grow the West Coast Swing dance community in the San Francisco Bay Area and beyond.
Our Mission
Mission City Swing aspires to foster an inclusive and cohesive community of West Coast Swing dancers in San Francisco and to provide an engaging, fun, and inclusive space for our students to grow as dancers and as people.

Our Values
At MCS, we aim to create a space where people of all ages, skill levels, and walks of life feel welcome and included. We work hard to foster a supportive environment for learning and improving your ability to dance West Coast Swing, as well as a fun and friendly environment that prioritizes the community and the connections we grow via the dance.
Humble beginnings
Mission City Swing was started in 2014 at The Polish Club in the Mission District. At the time, it was the only West Coast Swing social dance in San Francisco, finally offering locals a place to dance without having to cross a bridge. Since then, we’ve outgrown our old beloved home and have moved into the much larger Russian Center of San Francisco.
Community first
We strive to make Mission City Swing a place for community and friendship first, and dancing second. All of us started somewhere, and we want to make sure that you love this hobby just as much as we do, and we know that the best way to do that is to create long-lasting friendships and connections.
Volunteer-run
Mission City Swing runs every week thanks in no small part to our army of dedicated volunteers. We aim to provide a dance experience worthwhile of the commitment and effort it takes to volunteer and assist in helping us operate week-in and week-out. If you’re interested in volunteering, please contact us!
